Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Kernel Engineer to join a high-performance embedded software team developing next-generation embedded and connected systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, Linux Kernel, and Embedded Linux software development, with hands-on experience in multithreading, IPC, debugging, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and enhance software for Embedded Linux platforms with Linux Kernel exposure.
  2. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues across embedded Linux environments.
  3. Work with Linux Kernel concepts, IPC mechanisms, multithreading, and synchronization.
  4. Refactor and optimize software for improved performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  5. Design modular software components and well-defined APIs.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  7. Maintain source code using Git and follow software development best practices.
  8. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous software quality improvements.

Required Skills

  1. Strong programming skills in Embedded C and C++.
  2. Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux and Linux Kernel.
  3. Good understanding of Linux Kernel architecture and internals.
  4. Strong knowledge of Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms.
  5. Good understanding of multithreading, thread synchronization, and concurrent programming.
  6. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in Embedded Linux environments.
  7. Experience in code refactoring and performance optimization.
  8. Experience with Git-based version control systems.
  9. Familiarity with software architecture, modular design, and API development.

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience with Linux system programming.
  2. Knowledge of POSIX APIs and system-level programming.
  3. Experience working on real-time embedded systems.
  4. Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

Education

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
