Job Description
We are hiring experienced Embedded C Engineers for a leading engineering services client working on automotive embedded software development. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in low-level device driver development, MCAL, and automotive microcontrollers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and integrate low-level device drivers and MCAL components for automotive embedded systems.
- Develop and maintain Embedded C software for automotive-grade microcontrollers.
- Work on peripheral driver development including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, LIN, ADC, PWM, GPT, DMA and related modules.
- Debug and optimize embedded software on target hardware during board bring-up and system integration.
- Analyze hardware schematics, microcontroller reference manuals, and datasheets to support driver implementation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve software defects and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Embedded C development.
- Strong hands-on experience in low-level device driver development.
- Experience developing or customizing MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) components.
- Good understanding of automotive microcontrollers such as Infineon AURIX/Traveo, NXP, STMicroelectronics or similar platforms.
- Experience with at least two peripheral drivers such as CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, PWM, GPT, DMA, DIO, WDG or Ethernet.
- Ability to debug embedded software and analyze hardware schematics and datasheets.
- Experience in board bring-up, integration and defect resolution.
Preferred Skills
- AUTOSAR architecture and MCAL configuration tools.
- MISRA C coding guidelines.
- ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
- Automotive SPICE (ASPICE).
- Vector VT System experience.
- Python or Robot Framework.
- Automotive Ethernet.
- Japanese language proficiency (N2/N3) is an added advantage.
